MELINA CABRERA

I am a bilingual communications professional with several years of experience in public relations, marketing and social media. In 2022, I earned my B.A. in Public Relations from California State University, Fullerton. I am currently a marketing specialist for the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) where I work to inform Orange County's over 3 million residents about transportation services through in-person and digital outreach. This includes regularly working in Spanish and Vietnamese-speaking markets. My work with the "OCTA Diverse Communities Trust Building Campaign" has been selected as a finalist for the Ragan's CSR and Diversity Awards in 2022. In addition, my social media campaigns at OCTA have increased their social media's engagement by over 500 percent compared to previous averages.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching anime and going to the gym. On the weekends, you can find me spending time with family and friends. I am also a proud Latina, who enjoys learning about my culture and am a strong advocate for equity. I am an outgoing and creative problem-solver who is passionate about learning. But, most of all, I love to meet new people, so please connect with me!
